Prof. Dr. Şeyhmus KAPLAN
Sports Medicine Specialist, Manual Therapist, Osteopath, Neuraltherapist
I was born in Diyarbakır in 1976. I completed my primary education at Diyarbakır Fatih Primary School and my secondary and high school education at Diyarbakır Anatolian High School. Between 1994-2000, I studied at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine. Then I worked as a hemodialysis physician for 7 years. When I decided to become a specialist, I first started to examine the branches more closely. Foreseeing that exercise therapy would come to the forefront in many diseases in the future, I decided to become a Sports Medicine Specialist. Subsequently, in 2011, I received my specialization from Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Sports Medicine. After working as a specialist physician in Eskişehir, Diyarbakır and Van for a while, I was appointed as a founding faculty member to Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Sports Medicine in 2015. I received the title of associate professor in 2017. I am currently serving as the Head of Van YYU Sports Medicine Department. When treating my patients, I try not to see them only as an injured area, but to perform my examinations and treatments with a holistic approach. At this stage, in addition to my classical medical knowledge, I try to benefit from Neural Therapy, Prolo Therapy, Mezo Therapy, Dry Needling Acupuncture, Kinesiotaping, Cupping/Hijama and especially Osteopathic Manual Therapy. Again, in an effort to better understand people, I continue my reading and research in many fields such as Embryology, Clinical Anatomy, Clinical Physiology, Human in the Quran and Hadith, Quantum Physics, Fractal Geometry and Mathematics, Chaos Theory...
